Not sure I know a lot of artists I’m interested in this week but I’ll check out what you’ve mentioned and there’s a few good FFO. Rotting Christ has a re-recording of Aeolo out too, not sure how different it is going to be from the original. I loved what sigh did with hangman’s hymn but there’s also a lot of sort of bad or unnecessary re-recordings too.

I saw the Rotting Christ re-recording. I feel the same way about those, some good, some bad. Same thing with remasters. There are some that sound worse than the original. But if re-recording can fix bad production, I’ll give it a try. I need to listen the Hangman’s Hymn. I haven’t listened to that album in years but I do remember liking it.

There are so many bad remasters of stuff from the 80’s and 90’s that just turn up the mids and compress the hell out of everything that sound like absolute crap.

Temptress is weird, they have a woman and man vocalist that basically each have their own songs and the songs sound almost nothing alike, the woman’s are post doom castle rat type stuff and pretty good and the dude’s are like almost tool like.

I listened to this one. I completely agree, it’s a little weird. But I actually quite like it even though it’s not something I normally would.

That does sound weird. And it sounds like something I need to listen to. lol

I like the pre-release track from Tjaktjadálvve. Definitely looking forward to checking that one out.

That one is going to be a great one I think.
