New Metal Releases January 23rd 2026

Starting to pick up a little bit with 32 releases this week. So far 2026 has been pretty good for me as far as music goes. This week looks promising too. Maybe it’s because it’s winter, but there are quite a few doom, death / doom and depressive black metal releases.
Stand outs this week:
Tjaktjadálvve - Third album from Swedish one man depressive black metal band. Tons of emotion and atmosphere in this one and it sounds very promising.
Sacrificial Death - Debut album from death / thrash metal band out of Greece. Sounds like a really good blend of the two genre’s.
