Looks to be another great week of releases. Plenty of death, thrash and black with a few progressive albums. There should be something for just about anyone.
Stand outs this week:
Hanging Garden - Not to be confused with the melodic death / doom metal band out of Norway, this is the second album from solo progressive death metal band out of the US with some melodic sections and a little bit of a blackened feel over the top.
Vingulmork - Second album from Norwegian blackened thrash metal band. From their Bandcamp: “Barmhjertighetens Fallitt channels raw despair, sharp melodic hooks and relentless rhythmic force, delivering a sound that is both unmistakably Vingulmork and unmistakably evolved.”
Discouraged - Debut album from Death / Doom band out of Germany. They take inspiration from early Anathema, Paradise Lost and Katatonia while at the same time, modernizing the genre.
