New Metal Releases October 31st 2025

Finishing up October with another big list of releases, 75 this week. Several albums to look forward to and this week will certainly keep me busy.
Stand outs this week:
Sakna - The only album from Canadian solo artist Solemn, inspired by Dante’s “The Divine Comedy”. Solemn began writing and recording this album when he was 14. By the time he was 18, he had completed the album, recording all of the instruments and vocals himself. He took his own life before the album was ever released. His brother S., from the post metal band Lunedi, recovered the songs from an old hard drive and mixed and remastered the music. I am very excited for this one. The single that has been released has a Windir vibe to it and, Windir is one of my all time favorite bands. This project has actually been dubbed “a natural extension of Windir” and includes a cover of a Windir track.
Empire Drowns - Sophomore album from melodic death / doom metal band with gothic influences out of Denmark.
Saeva - Second album from Denver based progressive post metal band.
Nyrak - Third album from progressive black metal band out of Belgium. This is a concept album that takes the listener on a journey through mythology, self-destruction, and rebirth.
