Huge release week this week with 78. So far this is the biggest release week this year and Halloween week was last year’s biggest list also. There is a ton of variety and should be something for everyone. Substack is telling me again this may be too long for email so if you are not able to see everything, you can always find it on the website. One other note, because this is such a big release week and it’s right at the end of the month, my best albums for October might be a little later than usual. I want to make sure I listen to as much as possible so I can get a solid list sent out. Make sure you are subscribed so you don’t miss it. Stand outs this week:
Velnias - Fourth album from this blackened folk / doom metal band. Huge plus because they are just up the road from me in the mountains of Colorado.
Trolldom - Third album from Swedish atmospheric black metal solo project. There are some session musicians on this release including Kevin Paradis on drums. Some great melodies in here and the sound is reminiscent of the second wave of black metal (Naglfar, Sacramentum).
