Looks to be a great week. Several really great bands releasing this week and there’s plenty to look forward to.
Stand outs this week:
Iapetus - Third album from Italian melodic progressive death metal duo. Filling in on vocals is Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie and it fits amazingly well here. From the first two singles, this is an AOTY contender.
Les Bâtards du Roi - I don’t usually put EP’s in my stand outs section, but last years release, Les Chemins de l’Exil, was incredible and was on my year end list so this one is a definite listen for me.
Mother of Graves - Third album from US based melodic death / doom band. I remember seeing a lot of praise online from their 2024 release, The Periapt of Absence, and this one sounds like it might even be better.
Also looking forward to: Insomnium - Shores of Null - Leadbelcher - Misery Spell - Worm Altar - Of Spite - Janvs - Mannveira - Morbid Intent - Soldiers of Rage - Hatalom
