A little bit lighter this week with 62 releases. October had a ton of great releases and if this first week in November is any indication, it will be a great month too.
Stand outs this week:
Hyperion - Second album 10 years on from melodic blackened death metal band out of Sweden. Some symphonic elements in here and they blend all of the genres together perfectly. The two singles are fantastic and this should certainly be on my year end list. From the band: "Elysia is an explosion of intensity in all kinds of directions. To call it an ambitious album would be an understatement. Hyperion never creates music with half measures and this is the ultimate statement of that. It is different from Seraphical Euphony, but still contains the vital elements that make us what we are. To make this album a reality has been a titanic effort and we are beyond excited to finally have it released to the world." Check the Bandcamp link below for a listening party on November 3rd.
Arctos - Sophomore album from Canadian melodic black metal band. From their Bandcamp: “The album is meant to be played as a whole, where the dynamics of each song and the interlude tracks are meant to carry the listener along the journey we have crafted for them while allowing time for reflection and exploration as well.”
Also looking forward to: Architect of Seth - Malignant Spirit - Nocturnis - Underdark - Ováte - Konvent - Les Chants de Nihil - Annihilus Mundi - Grand Harvest - I Helvete - Falsimonian - Surgent
