Lighter week this week with 44 releases. I’m still trying to catch up on some of the May releases that I wanted to listen to. It’s been busy so I haven’t started on May’s best releases list yet but with any luck, it should be out soon.
Stand outs this week:
ART|EST - Debut album from German tech death band. “Across the record, the songs circle the conflict between good and evil, and the uncomfortable thought that the real fight for the soul might begin long before life ends. It’s technical death metal with a sinister pull, shifting between intensity and atmosphere while keeping the tension high and the mood bleak.”
Xenosis - Fifth album from progressive tech death band out of the US. From Bandcamp, “On their fifth full-length album, "Hermetic Transmutation", they retain their core sound as they elaborate on both the progressive and technical aspects, even borrowing elements of brutal death metal and dissonant death metal to achieve that.”
